"Fiber" can be delicious !



This dish is a good way to satisfy the pasta craving, avoiding the carbs normally found in the pasta. It can be done in no time and the Asian flavor infused in the cabbage will make you appreciate this dish to the max.  For the health conscious consumer, it is loaded with fiber.

½ cabbage cut in strips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
¼ teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon of sugar
½ teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons lite soy sauce (low sodium)
1 cup frozen vegetables



Slice cabbage in strips to resemble fettuccine. In a hot wok or frying pan, saute the cabbage with the vegetable and sesame oils. As cabbage starts to wilt, add salt, pepper, sugar, onion powder, soy sauce and vegetables. Cook for about five minutes and serve. This is a very easy recipe that can be served as a side dish or you can add pork or chicken to make it as a main entree. Very easy and very delicious!

My pleasure! I will be posting more cabbage recipes soon. They are loaded with fiber and hardly any carbs (about 5 carbs per cup) .
