May Night Salvia
This perennial plant is a must have. Its deep purple flower spikes produce an incredible display when they are planted in groups. Once they are established, they are drought resistant and pretty much care-free. May Night salvia attracts hummingbirds and butterflies and the flowers may be used in cut-flower arrangements. It loves full sun and will bloom from spring into summer. Dead heading will encourage more blooms. Simply remove spent blooms with pruners or scissors.
