Recipe for Meringue Cookies

This cookies are fat free and very delicious!


4 egg whites
1 lb. (500 grams) powdered sugar
2 tbs. lemon juice


Preheat the oven to 225°
Lined a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Place the egg whites in bowl and beat them with an electric mixer until soft peaks are formed. Slowly add the powdered sugar and continue beating until the peaks are stiff, add lemon juice and beat for another minute.

Place the beaten egg whites in a pastry sleeve fitted with a large tip. Squeeze out small mounds of the mixture onto the baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch between meringues.  Bake for one hour, or until meringues have dried.  Open the oven door and finish drying them. Let cool completely before serving.
