Ho Ho Ho ..... Santa?

Oh Lord! Look at the time.  There are not enough hours in the day! December is almost here and all those Christmas gatherings will require some time in the kitchen.  So, one more time … I am thinking easy and Christmas-friendly.  Ruby red cherries are definitely festive and in a pie, you can’t go wrong.

You can make your own pie dough, but it is not really necessary. You can buy it already made, and still have the “wow” factor.  Find nice baking dishes to bake individual pies.  Cut pie dough to fit your container, prick the dough with a fork and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.  Mix a can of cherry pie filling with 2 teaspoon of amaretto and top your cooked pie dough.

Return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Let them cool off and top with your favorite granola.  Spend a few minutes in presentation and take all the glory you can!  You can pretend you have been cooking for hours…. Trust me; this little dessert will get you a spot on national television!

Oh man, I'd be all over this...

I had cherry yogurt for the first time in about a year yesterday, and have been craving cherries ever since.
